Ancient and Elegant eating utensils

In ancient times people in Arctic areas used these kind of tongs for eating hot foods. Beautiful Northern birch is delicate looking but very durable! These would be great serving utensils also.

These are made by Mauri Poylio, 100 miles north from the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. True Lapland craft, "duodji".

Some custom made Marimekko Lamp Shades. They come with a brass harp to fit most floor or table lamps. The first one is called Kuusama (Honeysuckle), design by Tanja Orsjoki and the second one is famous Maija Isola design Unikko (Poppy) from 1960's. Very funky way to spice your home decor!

One of my favorite Marimekko designs, Taikamylly (Magic Mill) by Sanna Anukka. Unfortunately they have discontinued this one in colors. Available only in black & white, but I managed to find a couple of really bold and bright color ones! Aren't they gorgeous!!
